When School Stops Feeling Safe

Some weeks leave you exhausted in a way that words barely explain. This is one of those weeks.

This past week was very challenging for my family. Things happened at my daughter’s school that should not have happened.

Kids make hard choices. They react. And later, they feel it. That doesn’t make them bad — it means they need support.

I suspect some of this may be connected to PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance), an anxiety-driven need to control and avoid demands.

This is my lived experience — not a diagnosis.

The Crossroads

I’m standing at a place moms shouldn’t have to stand — deciding between homeschooling or continuing something that feels harmful.

You don’t understand. You aren’t living in her shoes.

Her IEP meeting is Wednesday. I’ll update after.
